Rogue One: Also Known As The One Where Everyone Dies

Okay, first off. Lets just be clear about this. This is not a review. Its more of a critic for those who have already seen the movie.

Secondly, I LOOOOVE Star Wars. (i.e been a fan since I was 5!) So no, this is not an indictment of the movie or the franchise. But I always feel really weird about movies where everyone dies.

Thirdly, no, this is not a spoiler! If you have nt seen it yet, then you are obviously not a fan, so I dont wanna hear it!LoL! Since its been out since December I feel like I can say this now without spoiling it for everyone else.

It gives me this weird, so-what-now feeling, when there is no one left to do anything at the end. Particularly if, they die in a martydom manner, saving the rest of us from 'them', whom ever 'them' may be!It just plain weird, and I doubt that I'm the only one who gets this unsettled numb feeling either.

The casting for this movie was on point. I had a bit of trouble appreciating the Saw Gerrera character whom I guess was crafted in the image of todays desert cave dwelling terrorists.

Darth Vader was as terrifying as ever, even though his role was extremely limited in this movie - Darth Vader fans may need to prepare their minds for this - and I swooned on seeing Princess Leia again. I really hope Hollywood will revisit her character soon.

Im giving Rogue One a 7. It was a good movie, but it didnt make the earth move for me!
